Adam and Eve were placed in the Garden of Eden and forbidden to eat from the Tree of Knowledge of good and evil. The serpent tempted Eve into tasting its fruit and she in turn tempted Adam. All three blamed each other and all three were punished - the serpent that caused the rebellion against G-d, Eve who did not resist the temptation and Adam, who listened to his wife.
The medal depicts the serpent and Adam and Eve, hiding in shame after eating the fruit.
