Jerusalem - The Mayor's Medal for Official Awards, 5729-1969

A special medal was issued for the use of the Mayor of Jerusalem, Teddy Kollek, to be awarded to people in Israel and abroad who have helped him in the planning, improvement, restoration and beautification work currently taking place in Jerusalem in a manner unprecedented in the annals of the city.

Obverse:
A schematic panorama of Jerusalem United. Below, on the right, a smooth panel. On the Old City Wall, a blank space into which "With Compliments", the mayor's signature and the name of the mayor may be engraved. (The insertion into the blank space may be in Hebrew or in English, depending on the circumstances.)

Reverse:
Above on the left, emblem of the city of Jerusalem, a lion standing on the wall, olive branches on both sides. In the center, the word "Jerusalem" in Hebrew, Arabic and English.

Edge: The State emblem and the words "State of Israel" in Hebrew and English. The silver medals bear "Silver 935" in Hebrew and "Sterling" in English.
