The Eurovision Song Contest has taken place since 1961 and took place for the second time in Jerusalem, in 1999. 23 Countries took part in the contest in Jerusalem, that was broadcast live to 30 countries. Until 1999, Israel had won the Eurovision, three times, and this is the only medal of Israel issued in honor of the Eurovision.

Obverse: The Eurovision Emblem and beneath it, "Eurovision", while the letter V forms part of the emblem. In the second line below the emblem, "Jerusalem Israel". "Eurovision Song Contest 1999" in English in the upper border and in Hebrew, in the lower border.

Reverse: Stylized drawing of the main buildings of Jerusalem. Beneath, "Jerusalem".
