The Eighth Zimriya
Official Award Medal, 5733-1973

The eighth Zimriya was held in Jerusalem in 1973, during the 25th Anniversary of the State of Israel. Fourteen choirs from nine countries participated, in addition to 18 Israeli choirs. The concerts took place in the large cities, small towns, on agricultural settlements and in I.D.F. military camps.

Reverse: The official emblem of Israel's 25th Anniversary - a seven branched candelabra, a ribbon designed to read "25" upon which "Israel" appears. On the rim, below, in English: "Israel's 25th Anniversary".

Edge: The State emblem with the words "State of Israel" in Hebrew and English.

Designer: Obverse - Nelo Wolfson. Reverse - Gideon Kaich.
