The Sixth Israel Festival
Official Award Medal, 5733-1973

Pablo Casals, Isaac Stern and Leonard Bernstein were among the participants in the Sixth Festival held in conjunction with the 25th State Independence celebrations. Others were - the Royal English Ballet and the Mexican Folklore Ballet.

Obverse: On the right part - the Festival emblem. On the rim to the left, an inscription: 'The Israel Festival 5733". Above, to the right of the emblem in English: "Presented to (blank space for name) by the Israel Festival Committee 1973".

Reverse: The official 25th Anniversary of the State emblem - a seven branch candelabra on the base of which the word "Israel" and the figure "25" in stylized form. On the rim, below, in English: "Israel's 25th Anniversary".

Edge: The State emblem with the words "State of Israel" in Hebrew and English.

Designer: Obverse - Nelo Wolfson. Reverse - Gideon Kaich.

Engraving: Moshe Nov.

Mint: Hecht.
