Official Award Medal, 5741-1981
In October 1981, over 900 professional rose growers from 25 countries attended the Fifth World Convention of the Friends of the Rose, held in Jerusalem. Israeli rose growers exported 170 million blooms in 1980, which earned 27 million dollars. The national rose garden in Jerusalem, was dedicated in honor of the Convention.
Obverse: In the centre, a stem with a rose. Jerusalem in the background. On the upper rim, an inscription in Hebrew: "The Wohl Rose Park of Jerusalem" and below, the English translation.
Reverse: In the centre, the International Federation emblem. On the rim above a Hebrew inscription: "World Convention of the Friends of the Rose 5742". On the rim, below, an English inscription: "Rose Pilgrimage 81".
Edge: The emblem of the Israel Government Coins and Medals Corporation, and its initials in Hebrew and English.
Serialization: The medals are numbered.
Designer: Obverse - Joseph Bass. Reverse - Ya'akov Anidi.
Engraving: Zechovoy.
Mint: Hecht.
