Official Award Medal, 5735-1975
Fashion export started when European fashion houses began to move to Israel. In 1974 more than 100 well known shops were exporting their goods. Their sales abroad totaled over one hundred million dollars. The main customers for Israeli fashion abroad are to be found in the U.S., West Germany, France, Britain, Holland, Switzerland, Canada and South Africa.
Obverse: In the center a feminine figure adorning herself with a shawl, formed like a candelabra, the State emblem. On the rim below, an inscription "Israel Fashion 5735" in Hebrew. The English marks the date as "1975".
Reverse: A stylized figure of the seven branched candelabra fitting into the industrial wheels of the world, expressing Israel's Export and Import industry. Around the rim an inscription "Ministry of Commerce and Industry" in Hebrew and English.
Edge: The State emblem with the words "State of Israel" in Hebrew and English.
Serialization: The medals are numbered up to 5809. 339 have been melted.
