"Dagon"
Official Award Medal, 5740-1980

"Dagon, Israel Granary Installations Limited, Haifa" has given the Haifa Port the most modern facilities for the transportation of grain, by making maximum usage of the large installations and its numerous mechanical devices. The granary, an important factor in the Israeli economy, has achieved world records in its operations and has been awarded labour prizes as well as international recognition. The "Dagon" medal was issued to mark the Corporation's 30th Anniversary.

Obverse: A stylized relief of the "Dagon" building in Haifa and the inscription "Dagon" in Hebrew and English.

Reverse: In the centre, below, an antique jug for storing grain. Beneath, the inscription: "Thou mayest gather in thy grain" (Deuteronomy 11:14) in Hebrew and English. Below, three sheaves. On the rim, the inscription: "Dagon Batey-Mamguroth Le-lsrael Ltd. Haifa. Serving Israel's Economy and Culture" in Hebrew and English.

Edge: The emblem of the Israel Government Coins and Medals Corporation, and its initials in Hebrew and English.

Serialization: The medals are numbered.
