Wild Life Preservation, Hai-Bar
Official Award Medal, 5733-1973
The medal was issued exclusively for the Nature Reserves Authority and is distributed by them.

Numerous conquering armies have marched through Palestine: Babylonians, Greeks, Romans, Crusaders, Arabs, Turks. All of them destroyed flora and fauna in order to supply their own needs. "Hai-Bar", the Negev nature preservation authority, seeks to restore to the land of the Bible the animals mentioned in the Bible. It gathers and raises them inside a nature Reverse protected by the law of "the Nature Reverses Authority" which, in 1973 marked the first decade since its establishment.

Obverse: On the rim, above, the inscription "Hai-Bar" in Hebrew and "Wild Life" in English. In the background is a jumping ibex and an ibex head.

Reverse: In the center, an English inscription "Hai-bar for reintroduction of Biblical animals into the Holy Land". Below, the Nature Reverses Authority emblem and the date 1973. On the rim, in English "The 10th Anniversary of the Nature Reverses Authority - Israel".

Edge: The State emblem and the inscription "State of Israel" in Hebrew and English. The silver medals bear "Silver 935" in Hebrew and "Silver" in English.
