Official Award Medal, 5732-1972

The School of Pharmacy is a part of the Faculty for Medicine of the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. Pharmacy is a four year course at this university and its graduates are absorbed by the pharmaceutical industry and by research institutions. The medal marks the dedication of the school in August 1972.

Obverse:
In the center, the school building and below "The School of Pharmacy" in Hebrew and English. On the rim is an inscription "The Hebrew University of Jerusalem" in Hebrew and English.

Reverse:
In the center, an engraved portion from the Dead Sea Scrolls. On the right, the Hebrew University emblem which is composed of a stylized letter "Aleph" and "Ayin" (Hebrew for H.U.). On the rim is an inscription "Wisdom hath built her house" in Hebrew and English from the book of Proverbs (9:6). In the part separating the Hebrew from the English are five symbols of various disciplines taught at the University. This side was copied from the "Jerusalem University" medal.

Edge:
The State emblem and the inscription "State of Israel" in Hebrew and English.
The silver medals bear "Silver 935" in Hebrew and "Sterling" in English.
