The Bank of Israel dedicated this Independence Day Coin in honor of the impressive achievements of High-Tech Industry in Israel.

- Hundreds of start-ups are established annually in Israel – Only the United States tops in Israel in this field.

These impressive achievements are the result of numerous factors including: the high level, well-educated manpower; ability to work under pressure; team work; cleverness and initiative; advanced technological education; new immigrants from the former Soviet Union (50% of the new immigrants hold an academic degree); former IDF personnel responsible for building the foundations of the High-tech Industry in Israel; and governmental policies.
