Tefahot Bank - Medal, 5728-1968

Tefahot Limited, was established in 1945 to provide mortgage loans thereby aiding the erection of houses and public buildings, and other constructions and development all over the country. In 1962, the corporation became a bank. Tefahot Bank is also active in the field of government and private savings schemes. In 1968, the bank's main office was transferred to Jerusalem. To mark the occasion, a special medal was issued which was awarded to the bank's employees and other personalities. The medal is not for sale.

Obverse: In the centre, a Star of David and on the upper rim, the inscription: "Transfer day to the Capital 1 7 Elul 5728".

Reverse: In the centre, the bank building in Jerusalem on top of which appears a sign: "Tefahot" in Hebrew and English.

Edge: The silver medals bear "Silver 935" in Hebrew and "Sterling" in English.
