Chinese Panda
The People's Bank of China has been issuing gold coins for investment since 1982. The Chinese Panda is struck in fine gold (24k).
The reverse bears a design of a panda, China's national animal, and the panda designs different from year to year. The obverse depicts the Chinese Temple of Heaven.
Originally, the Panda coin was struck in one ounce (diameter 32mm, thickness 2.7mm, weight 31.16 grams) but there are additional smaller weights: half ounce, quarter ounce, 1/10 ounce, 1/20 ounce.
