These 28 coins commemorate the First Olympic Games ever to be held in the Soviet Union.
The designs for these were created by V.A. Yermakov, one of the foremost artists in the Soviet Union.
The 22nd Summer Olympiad was held in Moscow, Russia in 1980 where more than sixty nations refused to compete in the largest boycott in the history of the Olympic movement. A complete 28 coin, 90% silver set featuring all the sporting events competed at the games on each of the 5 and 10 roubles.Presented in original red case.
