Based on the paintings of the artist Itzhak Tordjman, the female characters featured in this series represent a wide human spectrum of women in the Bible who fulfill a variety of roles: wife and mother, a wise counselor A prophetess and a leader.
The medal reverse portrays an eternal flame, symbolizing the lineage that began with the matriarchs and the outstanding women of the Bible, and that has continued throughout Jewish history, until this very day.
