The upcoming great FIFA World Cup™ Sports Event will be captured on a collection of coins from many countries of the world. Like the 2006 FIFA World Cup Germany™ and 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa™ Coins previously issued by the Bank of Israel, Israel's 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™ Coin is also be a part of a world coin collection.

For the second time in history, Brazil will host the FIFA World Cup™ and for four weeks from June 12 to July 13, 2014, Brazil will be the focus of the eyes of billions of viewers around the world. The Confederaçao Brasileira de Desportos (CBD), established in 1914 one hundred years before the 2014 FIFA World Cup and affiliated to FIFA since 1923, was the predecessor of the Confederaçao Brasileira de Futebol (CBF), which has a list of past outstanding successes, including five FIFA World Cups™.

Football has been popular in the Land of Israel for a long time. A Jewish delegation from then Palestine under the British Mandate, played at the qualifying games for the 1934 and 1938 FIFA World Cups. This delegation was the forerunner of the Israel National team, which over the years, has taken part regularly in FIFA World Cup qualifying matches. Israel plays in European competitions as a full member of UEFA.

Obverse: The face value and words "New Sheqalim" in Hebrew and English, the word "Israel" in Hebrew, English and Arabic, the Israel State Emblem, Mint Year (2013 and 5773 in Hebrew characters). Centered in the lower part of the coin is the mint mark. Upper left is a football pictured as the globe in orbit, evoking the international nature and dynamics of the FIFA Games.

Reverse: The ball in the net, a goal, the most exciting moment of the game.
