Tourism, Twenty-Fifth State Anniversary
Official Award Medal, 5733-1973

The "Tourism" medal was issued to coincide with the twenty-fifth State Independence Anniversary and is a continuation of the Ministry of Tourism medals issued in 1962 and 1966.

Obverse:
The 25th State Anniversary emblem - a seven branched candelabra surrounded by a ribbon with the word "Israel" on it together forming the number "25". Beneath the emblem is an inscription in three lines "25 Years of the State of Israel". On the rim in Hebrew, English and French "Ministry of Tourism".

Reverse:
From left to right, scenes from Tel Aviv: the Municipal Museum, the Mann Auditorium, the Shalom Tower, the Observatory. Above an engraving of the sun and sea waves. Turning the medal around we see the Tomb of Absalom, the church of the Virgin Mary and in the background a stylized view of the Negev mountains. Some of the medals have the reverse showing the new buildings at the top, while others show the historical buildings.

Edge:
The State emblem and the inscription "State of Israel" in Hebrew and English.
The silver medals bear "Silver 935" in Hebrew and "Sterling" in English.
