"For this child I prayed" said Hannah, the mother of Samuel the Prophet, when the longed-for son was born. Every mother probably experiences this feeling when first seeing her newborn son and again when he is circumcised.

Obverse: A tallit and the passage "For this child I prayed" Samuel I 1:27, in Hebrew and in English.

Reverse: A representation of the seven species with which Israel is blessed according to the description in Deuteronomy 8:8 "A land of wheat and barley, and vines and fig trees and pomegranates, a land of olive trees and honey (dates)" (Bechorim 1:3).

Edge: The emblem of the State of Israel and the words "State of Israel" in Hebrew and English. On the silver medals "Silver 935" in Hebrew and "Silver" in English. The edge of the gold medals is milled.

Serialization: Every medal with a smooth edge is numbered.
