"Let My People Go"
Official Award Medal, 5736-1976

The second World Convention of Jewish Communities for Soviet Jewry met in February 1976 in Brussels. The cry, "Let my people go I" is in essence the faithful expression of the aims adopted by the Convention.

Obverse:
In the center - an inscription "The Second World Conference of Jewish Communities on Soviet Jewry, Brussels, Adar 1, 5736". On the rim, the English translation - the date being marked as: "February 1976"

Reverse:
A ball of light, a symbol for the sun, bursts through a barrier of bars. On the right, an inscription "Let My People Go" in Hebrew and English.

Edge:
The State emblem with the words "State of Israel" in Hebrew and English. The silver medals bear "Silver 935" in Hebrew and "Silver" in English.

Serialization:
All the medals are numbered. Bronze - 3849 have been numbered, 1476 have been melted.
Silver - 1132 have been numbered, 86 have beenmelted.
