JNF Park - Jerusalem 3,000
Official Award Medal, 1995 5756

The Jewish National Fund (JNF) was founded in 1901 as a fund for the acquisition of land in the name of the Jewish people to be developed and leased to Jewish settlers in the Land of Israel. Since then, the JNF has planted over 200 million trees over some 800,000 dunam. It assists the Israel economy by creating water reservoirs and dams, preparing land for tourism and housing for new immigrants and has created some 6,000 km. of roads. The JNF works to strengthen links among Israeli and Diaspora Jewish youth and the land of Israel. In celebration of the 3,000th anniversary of Jerusalem as Israel's capital, the JNF is creating and developing a 1,000 dunam park for the city. Contributors to this project will be recognized with a gift of this medal.
