Jerusalem Reunited, 25 Years

In honor of the 25th Anniversary of the Reunification of Jerusalem, the people of Israel makes a covenant with its eternal capital city, as was done 2,450 years earlier by Nehemiah and the returnees from exile in Babylon. The present Covenant is signed in special ceremonies by Jewish leaders in Israel and abroad. This medal is a tangible symbol of the Covenant. Each of us can fulfill the passage engraved upon it, which is also this year's slogan" "pray for the peace of Jerusalem".

Obverse: Landmarks of old and new Jerusalem within the outline of a Dove of Peace. Around the border, the words JERUSALEM REUNITED", 1967-1992 5727-5752 and Hebrew inscription "Jerusalem - built as a city that is bound firmly together, Psalms 122".

Reverse: Emblem of the Reunification and inscription "PRAY FOR THE PEACE OF JERUSALEM" (taken from Psalms 122), in Hebrew in the center, and in Arabic and English around the border.

Edge: State Emblem with words "STATE OF ISRAEL" in Hebrew on the right and in English on the left and serial number. On the bronze medal - "BRONZE" in Hebrew and English; Silver medal - "S 999" in Hebrew and English; gold medal - "G.750" in Hebrew and English.

Serialization: All medals are numbered.

Designer: Obverse - Rachel Timor. Reverse - Reuben Nutels.

Engraving: Tidhar Dagan.

Mint: Bronze - Hecht. Silver - Kretschmer. Gold - The Government Mint.
