Tenth Medal in the "Israel Defense Forces Fighting Units" Series

The Armored Corps was established at the beginning of the 1950s. With its capability of mobility and fire power, of prime importance in battle, the Armored Corps leads the ground forces in battle.
The Armored Corps always moves first out of all the IDF Forces, clearing the area for the advancing ground forces, while blocking the oncoming ground forces of the enemy.
The 7th Brigade, known also as "Sa'ar of the Golan" is the first Armor Brigade in the Israel Defense Force.
In more peaceful times, the Armored Corps reinforces the Infantry Corps while it takes care of daily security. Tanks of the Armored Corps form a mobile post that enforces the ground security forces.
