Medal No. 8 – Jacob and Rachel

Jacob arrived at his destination in Haran and met Rachel the shepherdess, daughter of his mother's brother Laban, beside the well, and loved her at first sight. Laban had two daughters, the elder one Leah and the younger one Rachel, who was described as beautiful. Jacob offered to work seven years as a shepherd for Laban in order to receive Rachel, but after seven years, Laban deceived Jacob and gave him Leah for a wife. He had to work yet another seven years for Rachel.
