Exchange National Bank of Chicago
Medal, 5732-1972

The Exchange National Bank of Chicago was the first American Bank to open a branch in Israel. The Bank was opened in Tel Aviv in 1970.

Obverse: Above, a portion of the U.S. flag. Below, a portion of the seven branched candelabra. In the center, in Hebrew "Exchange National Bank of Chicago, the first American Bank in Israel 5730".

Reverse: On the left, the bank emblem as it appears on its cheques. The rest of the space is occupied by an English inscription: a duplicate of the Hebrew on the Obverse except for the date which is 1970.

Edge: The word "Israel" in Hebrew and English. The silver medals bear "Silver 935" in Hebrew and "Silver" in English. The Gold have "G 91 6.6".

Serialization: All the medals are numbered.

Designer: Rothschild and Lippman ("Roli").

Engraving: Moshe Nov.

Mint: Hecht.
