A Decade of Jewish Resettlement in Samaria
State Medal, 5746 - 1985

On Hanukka 5746, December 1975, the Government of Israel approved the first settlement by the Alon Moreh group on the site of the Kadum army camp, which is known today as "Kedumim". Today, over 120 settlements house a population of about 60,000. A network of roads, water, electricity and telephones cover the whole of Samaria. Industry flourishes, in particular the scientific industries, and educational institutes include kindergartens, schools, colleges and seminaries. Settlement brought about a wave of development in the whole region and the inhabitants enjoy a high quality of life. To mark the decade of resettlement in Samaria, a state medal was issued.
