The historic conference “Religious Leadership in a Secular Society” brought Jewish and Christian leaders together for the first time in Jerusalem to discuss the scientific and social challenges which the modern world poses to religious leaders/ the meeting was held against the backdrop of the recently-signed agreement between the Vatican and the State of Israel, a symbol of the recognition of Hisrael by the Christian world and historic conciliation after 2,000 years of rift, persecution and misunderstanding.

Lines forming a Star of David against a background of a DNA molecule, ancient scrolls and hand raised heavenward, reflecting the connection between religion and science and technology. In English, the passage “REVERENCE OF THE LORD IS THE BEGINNING OF WISDOM” and the source “PSALM 111”. This passage appears in Hebrew at bottom right.
