Design Nairn Basson

The kinetic medal was artist Na'im Basson's invention. Instead of the usual single-pieced medal, he created one with several pieces set together, making it possible to rotate it and change its form. This marked a first as it created a dimension that had not yet existed in coins and medals.

"Israel" Model
Kinetic medal consisting of three mobile parts: A square with a Star of David on one side and a stylized Menorah on the other. The square rotates within the inner space of a hexagonal form. The hectagon rotates within a ring, which bears the signature of artist.

"Dove" Model
Kinetic medal consisting of two mobile parts: A dove joined to a ring and rotating within it.

Edge
The emblem of the State of Israel and the words "State of Israel" in Hebrew and English and a serial number. On the gold medals - G585 and on the silver medals - Sterling 925
