Herzog Ezrath Nashim Hospital

The Herzog Ezrath Nashim Hospital was founded by a group of women living in the Old City of Jerusalem in 1895. Originally, this hospital served the mentally ill. In 1960, the hospital began providing geriatric services to the city of Jerusalem. Today, the hospital operates seven geriatric units, providing comprehensive geriatric treatment of all types. The Geriatrics Department of the hospital is famous for its quality and high level of services, and is among the leaders in its field in Israel. The Research Department of the hospital is world renowned thanks to the comprehensive research it conducts and the many articles it has generated in the professional literature worldwide. The medal marks 100 years of service.

Obverse: The years "1895-1995 5655-5755" and the inscription "SARAH HERZOG EZRATH NASHIM HOSPITAL' in Hebrew and English.

Reverse: A geriatric patient in a wheelchair with a doctor behind, to the left of the figures, "1895-1995" and the words "CENTURY OF SERVICE TO JERUSALEM".

Edge: Initials "I.G.C.M.C." and "BRONZE" in Hebrew and English, and serial number.

Serialization: All medals are numbered.
